Experiments Rockfall – Surava ¶
The Surava experimental trilogy has been performed in a forest slot where periodic forrestry work lead to a cut of some of the existing trees. The data consists runs within the undisturbed forest, runs with the lying, cut trees and a final experimental session after the clearance of the lying logs. Experimental boundary conditions only permitted the use of small 46 kg EOTA(111) cubic rocks. The data set serves as a challenging calibration set for ongoing forrest implementations within the RAMMS::ROCKFALL module, above all with respect to accurate tree distribution, in-detail analysis of surface roughness of typical forest soils and accurate behaviour of runout.
